Comic Relief!

on March 15, 2013

20 Million!!! 20 MILLION! 20 Million!!
That’s the current total, in pounds, that comic relief has raised SO FAR!!! it’s only been on for three out of seven hours!
Comic Relief is AMAZING!!! I love it so much! It’s also known as Red Nose Day, or Do Something Funny For Money. It gives money to men, women, children, families and charities in the UK and Africa. It involved celebrities and ordinary people, sports stars and charity workers.
It is clips, sketches, events, fundraising and presenting, interspersed (oooh good word) with heartbreaking clips from Africa, and the UK, as well as clips and previews from TV shows (you’ve guessed it – mucho screaming at the Doctor Who bit :D) – it is incredible!
There was just a bit with a women from Mary and Martha (the most amazing, and saddest, and thought-provoking telly-film thing I’ve seen in ages. It was about these two mothers, and their sons, and malaria. WATCH IT!) and it was so sad! There are so many deaths from malaria every year! And Comic Relief is …. Just incredible. This year, I get to watch all seven hours! Fun! 😀 hehehe
Plus the persevered are invariably hilarious. And there’s Miranda. And EVERYONE! It is so much fun, and so sad! It’s scary and upsetting and hilarious and uplifting and EMOTIONAL. Many, may feels.
I will tell you the total amount of money raised by the amazing, amazing people who donate later. And now Miranda is raising money. Should be hilarious …. 😀 Anyway, happy Comic Relief!
P.S there will be more ……. 😀
P.P.S okay, that was a lot! Hehehe 🙂

I was fangirling like mad during the call the midwife/doctor who sketch

  2. I’m staying up with my friends watching it, it’s so heartbreaking that so many children die from cureable diseases due to poverty and lack of resources, we’re all so lucky! I must say seeing Louis Walsh in a wedding dress has made my day! I love comic relief

    • Yeah – me and Elly stayed up to watch it, but my mum made us go to ed! Scandal 😉 it is truly heartbreaking and so so sad :(( but the bit with David Tennant and John Bishop was So funnny!! we laughed so much 😀 Do you know the total so far???
