EDIT: So I’ve decided I’m going to update this whenever I can think of a new film I love 😀 Anyway, here we go:
It’s okay! I am going to post today! And the subject of today’s panic-induced post? Films. Specifically, awesome films 😀 I want to know what your favorite films are, and your favorite quote/scene/character from said film. This is mainly because I have NOTHING to watch at the moment ;). SO, to start you off, my top 10/5/3 (whichever it ends up being) films and scene/quote/character of the same. In no particular order;
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
This is something of a cult classic, and occasioned weeks of me and my friends doing Knights of Ne impressions, galloping down corridors, insulting one another in a french accent and discussing the migratory patterns of swallows. It is classic British humor so apologies to the rest of the world. Patriotism in action :D. Here is a short(ish) clip:
Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!
A truly excellent film.
The Princess Bride
A fairy tale story that combines lots of laughs with just general awesomeness 😀 I quote this way to much, especially the clip I am about to show you. This is one of the funnier parts:
Plato? Aristotle? Socrates? Morons. 😀
Anyway, moving on ….
The Decoy Bride/Wild Child
First, The Decoy Bride. A chic-flick, for a change 😀 It’s got David Tennant in it, so that’s definitely a point in its favour, plus it never fails to make me smile. It’s just one of those films that will never make film of the year, or even get into the top ten, but you love any way.
Second, Wild Child. Again, a chic-flick, and it makes me laugh and come close to tears, and it makes you spend the rest of the day with a smile on your face. So really these are my rainy-down-day films …. I love them anyway 😀 Plus it’s about an American teen having to cope at an English boarding school. Oh, causal racism ….. 😀 The clips from Wild Child, because I couldn’t think of one from The Decoy Bride that wouldn’t involve major spoilers ;). Anyhoo, here it is:
Decoy Bride is slightly less chic-flick-y …. but not much ;’)
Next time I update this should be with a film that’s a bit less ….. pink?
I am such a fail at thinking of things on the spur of the moment ….. there are many many more films out there that I love – Red, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, some sad stuff too – but I can’t think of it! Well, I hope you guys have better memories than me – please share in the comments! See you tommorrow,
